2016! What's the plan, man?

Here we are... it's 2016! How time flies!

It's been a while so here's the scoop since I wrote in last...

Shawn finally made his pro debut, and he won! It was a wild fight, but with the help of his cornermen combined with his toughness and heart he shook off the "first pro fight jitters", and got the job done! Now we're trying to set up fight #2, which is looking to be some time at the end of February. The whole process of things that needed to happened was obviously way more involved than it was when he was just an amateur. I'm working to figure out a system to keep myself organized, so look forward to some posts about organization in the future!

So far I have to say, I've been writing down ideas for this blog among other things in one of the many journals gifted to me over the years from my Aunt Geeg (haha, you can't even imagine the amount of office supplies I have) and it's really working out for me. I have a lot of fun stuff I want to, and I'm excited to take you all with me!

So, what's the plan?

This year I plan to take things into my own hands, and trust my gut. Too many times last year I let other situations dictate my life, which got me to the situation I am in today. Which, to be honest, is less than ideal. I always tell Shawn, "You can't sit around and wait for things to happen. If you want opportunities, you need to create them for yourself." Well... maybe I should learn to take my own advice. This year I also plan on working on taking my health more seriously. I won't put a number or timeline on anything, because that's not what it's about. I'm focused on feeling good. I refuse to wake up each day with at least one part of my body hurting because of my thyroid, and the fact that I make excuses about taking care of it. Then finally, (finally for now, I'm sure I'll add more to my "to do" list for 2016) I want to work on being more positive. No one likes a Negative Nancy!

I'm excited, and motivated to make this a good year, even though it is off to a rocky start already *eye roll* Let's do it!

Much Love,

Krissy
